Love your radio show, and to hear your commitment and dedication to what you know works. Thanks for what you do.

I work in the medical field. I’m 61 years old, single, I just get by and, I do support myself. My question is, is it to late to begin a new career at my age, and be my own boss. Would you tell me where I should start. I support myself, so, I don’t have extra monies to invest, I’ve always been hard working and dependable, and don’t want the government to take care of me. I feel I have lots of years left and ahead of me.

I love to cook and garden. Any advice would be most grateful. Thanks.

You are 61 years young!  It is never too late to start a business. Always start small, something you love to make or do, if you love cooking, start baking. Gluten free is huge now, make gluten free cookies etc, sell them at farmers markets etc. A friend of mine has a really great business, she cooks for 20 people that have full time jobs.  She delivers their food to their door in a cooler, I think she makes dinner only, but they come home to a hot homemade meal, and she does this, five days a week, she brings in about $4000. a month. There are so many ideas out there, if you are in the medical field, think of something you can do in your own business, so that you can make as much money as you want. Be fearless and wise. Never quit your job until your business can support you.
